Hi Ron,

I hope things are fine for you.

I just wanted to let you know that IMHO the KFC original recipe is perfect.  After 10 min I used a pair of tongs to remove the pressure cooker bobbler, that resulted in a quick drop of pressure and I was able to remove the chicken fast enough to call it perfection. LOL. It's great tasting exactly like the Colonels.

Ron,

Thank you for the cook book and all of your nice emails.  Between my career, being a mom, wife, and grandma I stay busy all the time, but not only do I enjoy the recipes on the website and in the books I have purchased, my children enjoy them.

I just got your cookbook America's Restaurant Recipes Vol. 2 and the bonus CD.

I just want to say a BIG THANK YOU for them. The recipes are fabulous most of them I've been trying to make taste just like the food I've gotten at the Restaurants I've been to. Years ago I made the Arthur Treacher's fish and chips to taste just like his. It took me a lot of years to do it but I finally did. I had put the recipe away in an old file folder that I had in a box in my vault at the bank, I thought I had lost it in so many moves years ago I was sure surprised when I found it. It is very much like the one you have in your cookbook. We had it Friday for dinner and I had forgotten just how good it is.

Just want to THANK YOU again for the cookbook and the CD I love the cookbook and there are many things I can use on the CD.

Thanks,

Linda

We tried this recipe this week.....It is just delicious..!!! I have passed the recipe on to other friends,,,by the way - this far exceeds any Bourbon Chicken that a mall could ever hope to sell....It will become a "chicken regular" at my home...I used boneless skinless chicken thighs and it was very moist...and also - I dont even like Bourbon!!! but this chicken is divine!!! Hi Ron - Just received your "Secret Recipes" book and am enjoying the contents. Have you ever looked into the recipe for Red Lobster tartar sauce. I find it unique and different from any other tartar sauce. I just can't seem to break it down as to the contents. Keep up the good work.

Thanks for all of your recipes. Joann

Dear Ron,

We all absolutely adore your Red Lobster Chedder Biscuits so a quick question for you.  Can we use Hungry Jack Pancake Mix instead of Bisquick?  We live in the Middle East and sometimes we can't find Bisquick but can find Hungry Jack - I am not American so I have no idea what either of these things is :-)  My American friends loved my biscuits made with Bisquicks as your recipe specified but now I can't find Bisquick in the shops - boo hoo!

Many thanks and keep 'em comin!

Ron - I really enjoy your weekly posts and find your clones right on target. I've also purchased one of your books that I'm really enjoying.

I have a question. Last week, you posted a recipe for Tex Mex Turkey Stew. I've lost the last email, and can't find the link to it. Can someone point me in the right direction, or resend me last weeks email?

Ron The day you take notice of such a stupid remark is the day you and Chef Tom and all who assist you should fire yourselves and go and take a dive into a very deep ocean full of a whole lot of very hungry sharks. Alternatively just pull your bottom lip over your head and swallow. Either way you will rid the world of yourselves. I - and I know Millions of others - could NEVER EVER THANK YOU AND YOUR STAFF ENOUGH FOR THE FABULOUS WORK THAT YOU ARE DOING. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK. Now another sauce recipe that I discovered by chance last night while preparing my supper...... Four tablespoons of canned Onion/Tomato/Origanum mix. (You could use fresh stuff as well). Two Tablespoons of Mild (or Hot if you prefer) Mustard Sauce. Two Tablespoons Mayonaise. Half a cup of boiling water. Salt n Pepper to taste. Place on stove and let it boil for a few seconds. Remove and pour over your food.

God Bless you all Ron.

Cheers

Harold.

Hi Ron, I just recived your news letter and as always, i'm thrilled to get it. I've always wanted the America's Secret Recipes, But being disabled and on a small fixed income, I can't always get what I want. I do however use many of the recipes that are posted and enjoy them greatly. ( even though I have to alter them to meet my needs ).

Keep up the great work. Dave

Hi,

I enjoy your mini-letters with good advice and this time a sweet story about making a snowman with your little girl. Thanks for the tip about the book you read (The Monk....)

Once you sent us a link to a funny video about a telephone salesman and the man who answered the phone who informed the man he might be a suspect in a murder. It was hilarious. I must have deleted it by mistake. If you can, will you send it again to me?

Thanks, Penny

I loved your email this week. ( I enjoy them all) Yrust me, grab every minute you can with Nia. They grow up so fast. Thanks for the website and the service that you provide.  Della

Not sure you will receive this e-mail, but here goes.

I am so glad to hear you turned a boring, back-breaking job into a memory with your daughter.   You will always have that, you know.

I am 69 years young, have 3 children ( 2 left, one was killed in 1999 at 38 in an accident) 10 grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, 3 step-great-grandchildren and a hubby.

I am  a blessed and happy lady.

My house is no longer the showcase it once was, nor is it as clean as I'd like it to be.  However, I sure do smell a lot of roses.  I keep a 6 yr old great-grandson for my granddaughter 4 days a week.   She wants to thank me for helping her, I say Thank you , dear for letting me care for your son.

This child was born the year after our son went to be with his heavenly Father.   God sent this little one, I know, to bless us and keep us sane.

We have to sometimes look for our blessings, and know how to recognize them, but we always have them.

Not only did you make a memory for  the corners of your mind, but your daughter will remember this, you know.  Very much so.   To  know you have a daddy who loves you and cares for you, and is willing to spend his time with you.  WOW..........what a blessing she has in you.

Love smooths the wrinkles in our lives, I believe.

Thank you, Ron, for your letters and news, and especially of course, you wonderful recipes.  Thanks for taking the time with us, your fans.

I look forward to your chats as much as the recipes.

God bless you, Sharon

Greetings:

I would like to thank you very much for the "America's Secret Recipes" that I received in the mail a few days ago. I'm looking forward to trying out some of these recipes, especially the 'Chili's Southwestern egg rolls and 'Hooter's Buffalo Wings'. These always go over great for football games, especially the Super Bowl.

Thanks again for putting together this wonderful cook book of yours.

Mary McLuckie

Thank you so much for your emails!  I love getting your recipes and seeing your cute pictures of your darling.  I have a strange request:  I am wondering what the possibilities are of getting the recipe for the tomato soup from the Tournament of Kings show at the Excalibur Hotel in Las Vegas?  It's worth the $50 ticket just for that soup!  Seriously!  :)  Thanks for all you do!

-Jennifer - Ogden, UT

Ron, your book sounds fabulous.. I can't wait to get a hold of it... I love cookbooks and recipes that helps me change my favorite fatty food into favorite foods without the fat... Thanks for all the emails, you're awesome!!!!  Lisa

Hi Ron,

I think your new cookbook is a good idea. I will give you a brief run down on myself and my 13 year old son.

My son is 13, his father and I are divorced. I do not buy junk food and I cook him a meal almost every night. The problem is he needs to loose 60 lbs. His father does not until recently pays attention to Mikie's eating habit. My son is aware of what he needs to do and is very serious about loosing the weight. I have taught Michal to read labels and beware of certain things like sodium, the fats etc.

I am 44 mother of 3 grandmother of 2, I have just had a minor heart attack. I also found out my good cholesterol is low and I have high blood pressure. I have a healthy heart, valves & arteries per the echo gram. I have sever heart problems in my family. My brother is 45 with the arteries of a 90 year old person and has had several heart attacks and does not take care of himself like he should. I am the only one in my family that does not smoke, I cook with olive oil, no fast food or fried foods, very very little red meat, a lot of vegetables and salads. I eat very little desserts. I am in need of loosing 15 lbs. I try very consciously to take care of myself and my youngest son (oldest to are doing great at this time.) with good eating habits. It is very hard to go out to eat or even go to someone's house for diner as like my mom, aunts and his father do not understand ingredients and concepts of what different foods can do to you. My siblings have started about a year ago to start and eat right.

It is nice to hear that their are people out there concerned about health and food intake etc. but yet want to make the food taste good and not think you are eating health.

I am not sure what my point in telling you the above is, but I just felt I needed to say:

Keep up the GREAT work and thank you for having a heart that cares.

Thanks for the Chicken and Dumpling Soup recipe.  It was great on a cold rainy evening!  I ground my own chicken for it and did not realize how easy it would be!  Also, grounding my own, instead of buying packaged, made the recipe have that extra

"from scratch" touch. Thanks for the Holiday Recipes. They

are very much appreciated. Lots of fun and easy recipes. I

always look forward to your emails. Thanks for making

cooking fun!

Christmas, which is quite unusual. Normally, my husband or one of
my friends will give me a book or two. Then my daughter in law
usually sends me one or two of my favorite "regional cook books"
from Va., my home state. Apparently, there were no new regional
books out this year. So, your book was appreciated even more.

If your mother is with you, please give her a big hug and thank her
for being so generous and kind in sharing her delicious recipes. I
shall use them and always think of the two of you with great appreciation.

Happy New year to you and your family. I hope 2007 will bring you
good health, happiness and prosperity. I look forward to your e-mail in
the new year.

Ron, you rock!  I'm recently married and can't cook for swuat.  I love new recipes and even if you're not real (as opposed to a commercial begging account), I still appreciate your sending fun stuff.  My husband wants the baby back ribs and I can't wait try them.  Thank you again!

Hello Ron:

We tried the pancakes this morning...they were great.

My wife had them with the old standby:  syrup.

I had mine with a mixture of cream cheese and raspberry preserves.

Terrific.

Thanks so much for that Applebee's recipe!!!

We just ate there last week and had only 2 choices for dessert with the meal we chose.

Of course I HAD to have chocolate. My husband however, went with the Walnut Blondie w/maple butter sauce.

We were stuffed before dessert even came, but he ate every

single bite of his and proclaimed that was the best dessert

he had ever had. I was just hoping I could figure the recipe out!

You read my mind!

Thanks again.
